FUNDAMENTALS FOR PRACTITIONERS
Six day course Budapest, Hungary
November 5-6-7 2010 Friday, Saturday and Sunday and
November 12-13-14 2010 Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
You will learn basic CNT techniques to release and clear blockages, assist toxin removal, balance excessive heat and negative emotions, and effectively communicate these concepts to your client. Intestinal health and its correlation to muscular issues in other parts of the body explained.
This method of healing works with five major systems of the body and the acupuncture meridians.
- Learn Taoist 5 element theory and its practical application in western practice
- Learn anatomy of proper breath and its importance in overall health
- Learn proper Medical Chi Kung practice for practitioner and client to support the healing process
- Learn specific touch techniques to elicit proper breath and client awareness
- Exploration and review of contents of the abdominal cavity and its relationship to meridian system and western anatomy
- Be able to identify and explain specific meridian points relevant to abdominal massage
- Learn basic navel detox techniques
- Palpate, explore and learn specific soft tissue manipulations of organs in abdominal cavity (the large intestine, liver, gall bladder, stomach, small intestine bladder and kidneys, reviewing eastern and western anatomy
- Connect the Large Intestine and Navel Detox techniques into a treatment
- Listen to the spine
- Plenty of hands on practice

Upon completion you will be able to perform basic techniques of abdominal chi massage and explain their purpose to your client. There will be a brief review at the end of the course and you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills.
Once completed you will have attained 42ce’s from NCBTMB (45107-09) and have completed one basic Fundamentals class required to attain practitioners certification from Gilles Marin. A certificate of achievement will be given.

One day Self Massage and Unwinding Your Belly Workshop
April 4, 2010 Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
You will learn basic Chi Kung massage techniques to
release tension in the body and encourage the belly to release toxins.
This method of healing self massage works with the
five major systems of the body and the acupuncture meridians. The one
day class will cover:
• Proper breath and visualization (Chi Kung practice)
to assist toxin removal
• Introduces and discusses the 5 elements (fire, water,
wood, metal, earth)
• Medical Chi Kung practice to support the healing
process
• Specific soft tissue manipulations to relax the
major muscle groups of the body • Palpate and explore the abdominal
contents on our own bodies locating specific organs and learning their
function in the detoxification process
• Plenty of hands on practice

Mary Ellen Derwis-Balaz Lmt., Cht. Is a nationally certified NCBTMB provider
(#45107-09), Chi Nei Tsang Institute Instructor, and Universal Healing Tao
practitioner. She has been a Licensed MT for 17 years and practices in Ohio and
Hawaii. Mary Ellen has a broad perspective in body work having studied with John
Upledger, John Barnes, Paul St. John as well as Kahuna Kimo Kamauna in Hawaii.
This experience has provided her with the ability to integrate eastern and
western views in the practice of massotherapy. Thus she provides a truly
holistic approach to bodywork for the practitioner and individual alike.
